My friend, Antipathic(vel zeroXD), with help from mey and few other guys is making a map. The main problem we have is no real map name, we only got the working name KotHAoS, but that's not a name really
The name should be catchy, make the player interesting. A nice shortcut of it would be nice too. It shouldn't be "War of..." or "... War", because it's rather a battle than a war. Here's what can I tell about the map, plot:
The sides are: Blood Elves, Fel Orcs and demons, which fight both. As u can deduct, it's set in the outlands. Blood Elves fight Fel Orcs because both sides want to claim the magical remnants of a mysterious meteor which lies in a big crater in the middle of the map. But the crater was claimed and is defended by demons who hold some evil incantation near the big, black, half-burried, magical thingy, probably to **** up everything and make an armaggedon

|||what type of map is it?|||U didn't decypher the working name, did you? :PIt will be a semi-AoS. KotH = King of the Hill. There will be 2 ways to win it, not only by destroying enemy base. And looking at Anti's skills, my and his ideas, the map should pawn ^^|||Well if the crater is the center of the map, then wouldn't it be King of the Crater instead of King of the Hill? lol
That reminds me of a map on MechWarrior 4 that was titled "Dust Bowl". It was a desert map, with the center of the map being a slight depression as compared to the rest of the map. So maybe your map could have a "'something' Bowl" name to it.
That would be representative of the central depression of the terrain, while also having a familiar/popular sports-like feel to it.

Celestial Impact. But the second part, after : , was lame. "The Alamo". This is no defence, lol. And it would have an ugley shortcut- CI:TA.
Could u suggest sth better that could be after the CI?
Oh, and don't forget. This is a battle between BLOOD Elves and FEL Orcs. Both are red, so some reference to the colour, as scarlet, red, crimson, could be there.|||Fel Blood Brothers.....lol, jk.

Demonic Impact : Scarlet Crusade (DI:SC)|||Sounds nice, but I don't know wtf it has to do with a crusade ;P
And don't just give one idea, post everything that comes to your mind, even the total ****. BRAINSTORM.|||"Fel Wars" can be a good name for your map because of the participating sides in this map.|||Rise of the Demons? Battle of the Races?|||Quote:

A technical note:
A meteoroid is what the object is called when it is in space.
A meteor is what the object is called when it is in a planet's atmosphere.
A meteorite is what the object is called once it has struck the ground.
Unless they are battling for the object while it is moving through the atmosphere, they are battling over a meteorite. :P
Meteorites are typically named after the place where they've landed - so possibly pick a geographic name from the Outland map to include in the title.

I think that sort of name has more character than just some generic name. It puts you in Outland and brings you right into the storyline. Who cares what the acronym is, anyhow?|||Seems like you are shooting down quite a few suggestion....
Scarlet Crusade is pretty good. A Crusade does not refer only to that few wars between the Muslims and Christians. A Crusade can refer to a series of Wars waged between two sides, or just one huge mission to recover something, which would also involve war between two sides.
So... Crusade actually works pretty well IMO...=P
Well... In the end its still your choice. =D... Just pointing out that you had missed a pretty good one...
