Hello there, I've been thinking I might try and get some more quality feedback on this map than what I've been able to receive while playtesting online, as other people frequently spot things to change that you as a creator do not. This is a relatively old map I started during RoC and have been working on occasionally ever since, so the abilities aren't too flashy, but the heroes are balanced to a careful precision over the years.
It's an action-oriented combat team dungeon crawl, where you control one hero out of nine and fight together through hordes of monsters on your way through the dungeon to survive and defeat the final boss. (Sort of like Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance for the Playstation if you ever played that.) There's various different events along the way, including two "gauntlet" style timed encounters with mobs attacking until a time limit is reached, about a dozen bosses and minibosses, checkpoints, and various elements incorporated to encourage working together. I've focused on quality over quantity: there aren't 300 items and 50 heroes, but instead a dozen items with several key abilities each, carefully balanced and tuned for the nine heroes and their abilities.
If you have a chance to give it a try what I'm looking for is beta testing, and I'd greatly appreciate feedback: what you liked, what you didn't like, and thoughts of things to change. It's designed for 3 - 9 players and -- like trying to play an AoS solo -- is best to have more than just yourself to test if you do host. The games I've hosted generally fill up in under a minute (especially during prime time) so I haven't found it to be a problem.
The latest beta version is under the "Beta Version" tab here:

I've been following the development of SC2, wondering if it will even be possible to continue this at that time. SC2 doesn't have heroes in multiplayer, but does in singleplayer, yet will the singleplayer heroes even be like the WC3 ones, or be a throwback to the WC2/SC variety that are simply buffed normal units? If it's the latter, most of the custom maps that are popular in WC3 will be no longer possible, and it'd rather limit what can be done in user-made maps... it makes me wonder how they'll handle it, since user-made maps (especially AoS maps) have extended the viability of WC3 long past the duration of standard battle.net games being popular.|||I might try to grab some TDG people to take a look at it sometime and see what they think - no promises, though.
