Dark Horizon

Argh, sorry, I hit submit instead of preview.... one minute :D.

Dark Horizon

Storyline Teaser

Six centuries ago, humanity fought for it's survival on Curia[shurr-eye], not against any mortal enemy, but against a virus, brought upon us as retribution for the sin and anger of seven hundred million living souls...

As the virus spread, the Empire did all it could to contain it, sealing off entire cities, and burning them to the ground... my fathers, fathers, fathers, fathers, fathers, fathers, father, Marcius Carn was sealed within a city, the Capitol city, the jewel of Imperial glory, pride, and strength. The very wall that was put up to defend the city, was used to keep them within it... It is estimated over fifty million people were within the city, and a population that large, would not simply be left in. The Empire knew this, within 3 days, there was no city, burned to the ground! I am only here talking to you today because Marcius Carn was able to escape the city... and pass on his findings on the virus, before the virus took his life, before he became one of the five hundred million dead and dieing.

Marcius had a son, Ghespra Carn, one who had been alive before the infection... and also on who had escaped to one of the nine nation that seals themselves off from the world... when the findings were passed on his findings, it would lead to the discovery that would rock the remnants of humanity to their core... his findings were as follows...

"After intense observation by myself, and the rest of the doters of 300 patients infect with the virus... after 4 days, only 9 had recovered, from this we can assume that there is a 3 percent immunity rate... but after recovering from the initial fever, and vomiting... their personalities seemed different... their grasp of language seemed to change, and they displayed an aggressive attitude, as well as miss-coloration in the skin, eyes, and I have seen them give... odd looks...

After three months, the virus had spread vastly throughout the land, and our 9 surviving test subjects were no longer understandable... they were speaking to one another inside an odd language, yet they seemed to understand why they were there, and what we were saying to them...

I took a blood sample from subject number 4... and compared it to an example of the original virus... the virus can changed... it was now something that would literally destroy a human mind, and reconstruct it into... this... thing...

after 2 more months, subject number 2, a female, who was pregnant upon arrival, gave birth today... the child was barely recognizable as a human... long arms and legs... no hair... grayish skin, red eyes... and the teeth seemed to be replaced by a plate of bone...

After this, I can conclude that those with a mild immunity to the virus, will be a host to the virus, and the virus will mutate in an unprodictable manner, and the mutations should worsen with each generation... of the 3 percent immune... we can assume that over 10 million people like this exist... "

Only a matter of days after the completion of his work, the government closed off the city... he escaped the only way he could... he didn't... instead, he had a messenger on the outside of the city make copies of his findings, and send them to the Empire, and his son...

We can assume....

I will finish this in a little while, okay? This whole thread will be completed in only a short time.

Preview incomplete, and will be updated.

I am open to all suggestions, thoughts and criticism, and more developers will be joining soon, so don't assume I am along on this.

If you would like to have a part in this project, please PM me.

NOTES:

-This is not the complete preview, over the next 2 weeks I will be adding new features as they are proven to work, tested, and archived by myself, and others.|||You have some excellent ideas there, this project sounds interesting. You might want to shorten the background story (or put it further down) so that people can quickly read what the map is about.
